Why should one integrated the HF in a network?

• HF can use the internet to lookup information about the songs in FreeDB
• Play internet radio
• You can upgrade the software or try beta-releases
• You can edit the albums from your PC using Veronica or Leonora
• You can use other UPnP devices to stream music from and to the HF
• You can make a backup to a device on the network
• Exchange songs over the network

Three network modes:

Hifidelio Network
The HF acts as an AP (access point). It is the central unit in your network where all other devices connect to and in can act as the entry point to Internet. If you don't have a LAN already, this is the mode to choose

 

Home Network
If you have already a LAN you can integrated the HF into the existing network by choosing Home Network.

 

Expert Mode
The same as Home Network but now you can enter most of the parameters your self.
